A relatively new annual fixture on the Ross calendar, the Rossbeerfest is a celebration of local beer, cider and even prosecco, which attracts hundreds of visitors to the lovely spot by the Rowing Club.

Susan Wilding, Chair of Rossbeerfest, told the Gazette: “I want to thank the hundreds of people who came to this year’s Rossbeerfest. Thank you for making such a great, relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

“There were many local residents, but also many visitors who were either passing by, or who made a special visit to Ross-on-Wye to come to the festival.

“It was a wonderful weekend to showcase what Ross has to offer in scenery, talent and community spirit.”

Rossbeerfest is a charity event organised and run totally by volunteers. Their help, and the support of local businesses and individuals as sponsors, make the whole thing possible.

Sue added: “So can I publically thank all involved for the time they gave up to make the event happen.

“Volunteering can be great fun, so if there is anyone who would like to volunteer to help and share their skills in the future, the committee would love them to get in touch. Please see our Rossbeerfest Facebook page or website and send us a message.”
