Herefordshire council's lawyers have been instructed to take enforcement action to ensure that Tanyard Lane returns to its usual peaceful state.

This follows the recent action taken by enforcement officers after residents of Tanyard Lane complained about heavy construction traffic using it. There was an enforcement notice stopping Persimmon using Tanyard Lane to access their building site in Ross, contravening the terms of their planning permission. One of the planning conditions attached to the permission of the Persimmon development stated that the A40 roundabout should be the only means of vehicular traffic to the site for construction traffic.
