A TEDDY Bear’s Picnic proved to be very popular, despite the change of the summer weather, with an array of soft toys being paraded around the bandstand.
The cuddly companions and their young owners assembled in surroundings of Caroline Symonds Gardens and managed to dodge the frequent rain showers.
Picnics were taken under the gazebos and children were also able to enjoy craft activities provided by the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and take part in circus activities provided by the Jitterbug circus and seed bomb making from Wye Valley National Landscape.
The event was hosted by Ross-on-Wye Town Council and the town’s deputy mayor, Cllr Sarah Freer, judged the array of soft toys that were put forward, with prizes being presented for the best-dressed teddy.
