You can try some ’cheap but fun’ motorsport at Ross Motor Club’s Autotest at Ross Livestock Market on Saturday, November 16th at 12 noon.

It’s not about speed or horsepower, you’ll probably only need first and reverse gear, but you’ll need to be fast on the steering and the handbrake to win. Cars race one at a time against the clock around cones. Fastest time wins, but you get penalties for hitting cones or taking the wrong route.

This is the best of grassroots motorsport. You don’t need any special equipment, anyone with a road legal car and a driving licence can compete. If you are over 14 you can drive with a passenger in most cars. It costs £10 for at least 12 runs over about four hours, plus £10 membership.
