Madam, I am writing to you in connection with my very recent experience of the National Health Service (NHS) within Ross-on-Wye and I wanted to share with you my personal journey as a patient of the NHS.
The first part of the journey commenced at Alton Street Surgery where I received supportive and excellent care and treatment from the Practice Management staff and my GP who was most professional and very caring in her role.
The second part of the journey involved being admitted into the Ross-on-Wye Community Hospital as a short-stay patient. My experience was again most positive. I was involved in all key decision making and I was very well treated by dedicated and committed professionals. There was a good atmosphere in the hospital and the food was much better than I expected.
I am now at home, the follow up has been impressive. Overall I would therefor like to place on record a huge thank you to all who are involved in serving the public.
I do not believe that we say thank you enough to all those who dedicate themselves to working for the public, the doctors, nurses, support staff, receptionists as well as ambulance, fire, police and teaching. They work exceptionally hard for all of us in Ross-on-Wye and I for one have been really grateful for their dedicated professionalism. Long may this continue.
Norma Snook, Ross
