MEMBERS?of the Ross branch of the Royal British Legion held their first Veteran's Tea Party on Sunday, July 27th as part of the commemorations of the 100th Anniversary of World War 1. It was an enjoyable afternoon with entertainment by The Forest of Dean Male Voice Choir, who soon had everyone singing along. The Chairman, Mr Graham Aplin, and the Committee were very pleased to welcome everyone who attended and praised all the Air and Sea Cadets, Officers and their parents who worked so very hard. The Branch is planing to make this an annual event up to 2018 culminating in a really special celebration party marking the end of the War. See this full report in this week's Gazette.

• Members of the Ross branch of the Royal British Legion with the Town Crier of Bromyard, Peder Nielsen, and his wife, Jan, who dressed for the occasion. Peder is acting as Town Crier at all British Legion events this year as a mark of respect for those who served in WWI.
