Madam, As the owner of two dogs, both of which are terrified by fireworks, I was very grateful to your correspondent from the Gresleys (Ross Gazette, December 1st) for letting us all know in advance about their firework display. This enabled us to take steps to reduce the stress our dogs inevitably go through.
I do not in any way want to be a killjoy, but it would help enormously if everyone planning to set off fireworks could show the same courtesy and consideration. Again, my grateful thanks go to those involved at the Gresleys. I hope they had a splendid time and got their Christmas lights under way successfully.
