Dear Editor,
A group of local people from the Ross-on-Wye area went away on a holiday, organised by Nina at Miles Morgan Travel. Nina had organised a trip and afternoon tea for us, on Wednesday, September 28th, on the East Lancashire Railway. While on the train we heard a whisper that the Flying Scotsman was due to arrive at Bury station that afternoon.
We arrived back from our trip at 4.15pm, and after talking to some of the station staff, we were allowed to wait and watch the Flying Scotsman arrive.
It absolutely made our day, we were able to get a photo with most of the group stood in front of the engine, resplendent in the new green livery. We are probably some of the first people to see the new green paint work.
