Dear Editor,

On the September 26th, we closed the doors of The Golden Crust Bakery for the last time. We had started baking in Ross some 30 years earlier.

Richard, Lorraine, Adrian and Nicholas would like to thank most sincerely everyone, for their kind and generous cards and gifts over the last few weeks, especially the verses and messages written inside them. Many included special messages from grandchildren too.

It has been quite overwhelming and emotional. We did not realise, although we have been in Ross-on-Wye for many years, just what an impact we have made on the town.

It was our ultimate goal, back in 1984, to become a bakery recognised for its craft baking, which we have succeeded in doing.
