Members of Ross-on-Wye Lions Club were at the Ross bandstand on Sunday, July 14th to mark the official handover of the electricity key to the Town Council.

The ‘key’ was presented to the Mayor of Ross, Councillor Nigel Gibbs, as well as a larger version, as a prop for the photographs.

As well as Lion President Jenny and members of the Lions Club, former member John Plant and Jo, the wife of Lion Bernard Fowkes were there. John and Bernard were involved in the idea of the bandstand and then saw the project through to it being built.

The completion of the project in supplying electricity to the bandstand now makes it possible for even greater use of the facility. It has been one of the projects that Ross Lions have undertaken to mark the centenary of Lions Clubs International.
