MADAM, I wish to thank the charming mother of Oscar, whose birthday it was on Friday June 17th and who I met in the card shop in Ross.
Having no cash on me, I put the card back and left only to be caught by this special person, who thrust the card into my hand and departed. I am not actually down and out. The generous gesture made my day.
