WELL done to Hildersley farmer, John Long, who won the Ross Gazette Perpetual Trophy at the Ross Livestock Market's annual Christmas Primestock show and sale on Monday December 2nd. The Trophy is, however, something of a mystery to present incumbents at the Gazette. A spokesperson at the Livestock Market believes it has been awarded at the annual show since at least WWII.
