MADAM, At a time when many buses are under threat, Rail for Herefordshire (we also support buses!) is delighted that the 34 bus between Ross and Monmouth has just started running on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays all through the summer until September 29th.
This service already runs on Mondays to Saturdays and the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is to be congratulated on their decision to subsidise it on Sundays. Bus users, both locals and visitors, will now be able to visit this spectacular part of the Wye Valley on any day of the week.
The 34 Sunday timetable isn't in the current Herefordshire Bus Guide, but it's available from the excellent Market House Visitor Centre in Ross and is on Herefordshire Council's and Stagecoach's websites. The 32 bus between Hereford and Gloucester also runs on Sundays, so anyone who lives near this bus route could travel to Ross and then change to the 34.
