The third year of Ollie Fest, an idea which came from a group of grieving residents who wanted to show their respect for a young man who lost his life in tragic circumstances, and bring the community together, was bigger and better than ever.

Thanks to the glorious sunshine which lasted for the whole festival, crowds spent most of Saturday and Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend at the festival site at the Ross Rugby Club at Greytree. The Friday DJ night had also attracted several hundred people.

The hard working team who organised Ollie Fest must be both exhausted and exhilarated by the success of the event.

The Ed Sheeran Tribute act on Sunday evening was so popular that he has already been invited back for next year. Other stand out performances were The Strays, Jack Morgan, Rubble, TaffyWasAThief, Galloping Cows, the Frank Sinatra Tribute and the Oasis Experience.

Sadly, Big Mac’s Wholly Soul Band were unable to close the festival but Take This, proved an extremely popular replacement. Thousands of people danced the night away, and sang along to the sounds of Take That and then watched the spectacular firework display which closed the festival. To see all the photographs taken at Ollie Fest click here.
