Weston Athletic made the short trip to Ruardean on Saturday to face Puma and after an amazing game Weston came away with a club record victory of 17 – 3. This extends their winning start to the season, which now reads 'played seven, won seven'.

Manager Eli Wooding was forced into playing a 4 – 5 – 1 formation, with Rich Denby coming into the left back spot and Shane Pugh filling the left wing position. These changes could have caused Weston to start slowly but it had the opposite effect. The change of formation seemed to suit the attacking football which Weston excel at.
