Fire crews from Ross-on-Wye and Whitchurch attended a road traffic collision in St Owens Cross this morning, at the junction of the A49 and the B452, at about 9.30am. Three vehicles were involved and two patients were taken to Hereford Hospital by ambulance.

One patient had to be freed from his vehicle by the fire crew, an West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman told the Ross Gazette that this was due to the damage to the vehicle. One driver, a man in his 70s was treated at the scene for chest pains and cuts to his leg. He was taken to Herefords Hospital along with another patient who suffered minor injuries.

Two ambulances and a paramedic support officer attended the incident.
