Luke Jones, Ross's local race ace took part in Rounds three and four of the MCE British Superbikes at Thruxton this weekend. In the first race he had a 'spill' and in the second race came 21st.
Luke, who is still getting used to his new bike, had a bad crash at 130 mph in the first practise on the Friday. This left him a little shaken up and the bike was a bit the worse for wear.
However Luke and the bike were back on track for the first qualifier on Saturday and qualified at 24.
He went well in the first race and got up to 19th place before coming off at the hairpin bend, fortunately Luke and the bike were OK.
In the second race Luke rode well and was in the thick of things before suffering arm problems from the original spill and he slipped back to 21st place at the finish.
The next round will be at Oulton Park, Cheshire on May 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
The Jones' team is grateful to their sponsors for all their help.
