ROSS-on-Wye residents may be familiar with Thrings, the award-winning law firm with an office in the Wye Valley, which has continued to secure high praise in the latest legal rankings.
The firm has expanded its standing in the prestigious Chambers and Partners directory, with more than 30 rankings in the 2026 edition.
Among these are six top band rankings, including the Agriculture team, which remains firmly at the forefront in the South and South West. Individual lawyers, including Partners Russell Reeves, Robert James and Mark Charter, also secured top positions, reflecting the firm’s continued excellence across its areas of expertise.
Thrings’ business-focused departments, such as Corporate, Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property, also retained their strong positions, while the Family law and Property teams showed growth with new and “Up and Coming” recognitions for several lawyers.
Managing Partner Simon Holdsworth praised the firm’s staff for their achievements and highlighted the importance of client feedback in driving their ongoing success.
In a further boost for the legal community, Thrings has launched Thrings Link, a national referral network connecting law firms across the UK to provide faster, smarter service to clients.
The initiative, launched at the Bristol office last month, allows firms to refer clients they are unable to assist directly, whether due to conflicts, limited capacity, or specialist requirements.
The network already has seven member firms, with many more expected to join. Members benefit from fast referral responses, protection of client relationships, optional fee-share arrangements, and access to advice and webinars from Thrings’ experts.
Jo Campbell, Thrings’ Head of Business Development, said: “The legal profession works best when firms collaborate rather than compete unnecessarily. Thrings Link ensures clients and lawyers alike are supported, no matter where they are in the UK.”
Thrings’ offices span the South and South West, including Bath, Bristol, Hampshire, London, Swindon and the Wye Valley.
