The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for parts of the UK, covering Ross-on-Wye and all of Herefordshire.

The weather warning is in place from 2pm today, Friday June 7th, until 11pm this evening.

They warn that heavy thundery showers may cause some travel disruption, and say residents can expect some flooding of a few homes and businesses, leading to some damage to buildings or structures.

Dave Throup, Environment Agency Manager for Herefordshire and Worcestershire, said: "Heavy rain spreading across our patch this morning accompanied by strong winds.

"Heavy, thundery showers following the persistent rain later this afternoon.

"Up to 40mm of rain possible. Watch out for surface water flooding."
