MADAM, Scaffolding appeared on our Market House on October 3rd, however to date there has been no sign of any workmen. I am sure we all appreciate the need to stop the leaking roof, but this won't fix itself, it needs workmen!
Why can't whoever is responsible for co-ordinating the works, tie the workmen in with the same schedule as the scaffolding. Unless something happens very soon we will be stuck with this blot on our town's landscape right through the Christmas period.
We were told initially that the works were scheduled to start at a time so as to avoid disruption to the 'French Market', well why is it only the English who will put the French before themselves? This eyesore must be losing the town's traders much needed business particularly when coupled with Ross' passion for roadworks/temporary traffic lights this year. Get the job sorted and tidy up our most central landmark.
Fighting in the streets, roads closed and roadworks, building sites with no builders - come on, Ross needs some good publicity to get things buzzing not yet more lethargy.
