A fundraising evening, organised by Tina Jones which included her having her long hair cut off, has raised more than £1400 for two charities.
On Wednesday, November 22nd Tina, who is well-known in Ross for her singing talent, performed at the special event held at the Wetherspoons pub, The Mail Rooms.
Tina told the Ross Gazette: “The evening was a great success, we nearly sold out of raffle tickets and everyone said they enjoyed the entertainment.”
Tina is really grateful to everyone who supported the night and so far, with gift aid she has raised £1,4335.70. Tina added: “The reaction has been so positive, I give my heartfelt thanks to everybody, I originally thought I would raise a few hundred pounds so this is beyond my wildest dreams.”
The proceeds of Tina’s hair cut will be split between the Teenage Cancer Trust, in memory of Matt Beddard, and CLIC Sargent.
