A tourist visiting Ross is appealing for the return of a wallet which went missing between 1pm and 2pm yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.

The man, from London, was in the area to visit family, and had just taken out a significant amount of cash to pay for accommodation. Shortly after taking the money out from the cash machine at Morrisons he bought logs at the Morrisons petrol station and drove off, to his brother's house before realising the wallet had gone.

He believes that as he lent over the logs to lift a bag, it fell out and was picked up by someone.

The man is here with his wife and four young children, and they are appealing for the wallet to be handed in.

The wallet is described as a small gents black leather wallet – the type that folds in the middle with a small zip pocket for change.
