Students keenly contested the John Kyrle High School's recent badminton tournament for handicapped doubles and singles. Doubles Champions of the year were Elin Lancett and Chris James of Year 12. The singles champion was Sam Parker. Winners of the first round plate competition were Andrew Goodes,Year 9, and Jordan Thomas,Year 10. The singles champion was Sam Parker, Year 11. All the prize winners received their awards from Mr N Griffiths, Head Teacher. Students enthusiastically practice and develop their badminton skills, at the school's Badminton Club, every Monday after school. Competitions are held throughout the year to enhance doubles and singles match play.
