Two Monmouth U11 teams played at the Monmouth Young Rugby Tournament on Sunday. October 11th. The Blues and the Golds played teams from Tredegar, Berry Hill, Ledbury and St Josephs', Newport.

The Golds put on an excellent show but were beaten by the more experienced Blues by seven tries. In spite of a scrappy start against Berry Hill, The Blues scored six tries, courtesy of Todd, Zelig, Tom, Paris Henry and James T, with Berry Hill failing to reply. The game against a strong looking Ledbury was a nail-biting match. Ledbury scored a try just before half time. Monmouth equalised in the second half and a draw looked inevitable. But in the dying seconds of the game, centre Leo ran some brilliant dummies past Ledbury to score the winning try.
