After a letter, “Take a bough, or duck” published in the Gazette on February 28th, mentioning the rather low bough growing across the Town and Country Trail, we were delighted to chat with Council sub-contractors who were doing a very good job of tidying up the trail last week.

The men had spoken with regular walkers, who also complained about having to duck to avoid the low branch, and informed us the offending bough had been removed early last week.

So, many thanks to the Town Council for acting swiftly to make safer the Town and Country Trail for walkers and cyclists.
