Dear Editor,

As the new Chairman of Ross Town Carnival I would firstly like to pay tribute to Colin Gray who gave so much of his time and effort over many years to make Ross Carnival what it is today along with the previous Chair, Anne Gray, who tirelessly gave Ross a fantastic display of performers, stall holders and a funfair. As the new Committee strives to continue these foundations that were set by Colin and Anne, we have seen the most amazing Carnival Ross has seen for a while. This is testament to the people of Ross and surrounding

areas who came and supported the oldest traditional event the town has. We applaud the people of Ross, as without this continued support, Ross Carnival would not exist. It humbles me that people want to take part, sponsor, fund raise, advertise and support this event, and as a result the foundations that were put in place by Colin and Anne, will grow into a bigger event as the years continue.
