Dear Editor

I was saddened to hear about Jo Lane. Jo was canteen manager at John Kyrle for many years and was very popular with students and staff. My enduring memory of Jo will be her relentless cheerfulness: I never once saw her without a smile on her face. It’s a great loss and my thoughts are with Jo’s family.
