MADAM, Through your letters page I would like to pay tribute to Rachel Lewis and Denise Mason at Ross Town Council for inviting Circus Ginnett to be part of Ross-on-Wye's Jubilee celebrations.
Given the less than seasonal weather, having the circus in town provided a welcome additional, family-friendly activity.
Circus Ginnett is a small family-run circus. Traditional acts such as jugglers, acrobats and aerial displays were mixed in with contemporary displays using whips and lyra. And of course there was Vader, the wonder dog! It was entertaining for all ages.
Young artists from Switzerland, Holland, Ireland, Bulgaria, Hungary come together each season to ring the changes.
For the Jubilee the circus was based at Ross Sports Centre which was easily accessible with plenty of parking.
Feedback from Anke de Boer at Circus Ginnett is that they had a good reception from the people of Ross and they would love to come back to our beautiful town again.
