Alice Hurley returned from the National Championships at Hartpury with three trained, and rode three four-year old Spanish stallions owned by Karen Bourdon and Mark Pitman, at the National Championships at Hartpury on the 30th and 31st July. In the first dressage event Alice won on Marques with 73.91% was 2nd on Resuelto with 69.13% and 3rd on Deseado with 68.26%. At novice level she won on Deseado with 74.14% the highest score of the day which gained her the Linda Lawrence Trophy awarded at the Grand Parade.

The following day the horses were entered for the Four Year Old Stallion class. A combined score of the in-hand and ridden sections resulted in Deseado claiming first prize and winning the Best Movement Trophy. Their next target is at the First British International Purebred Horse Show at Keysoe in Bedfordshire.
