Ross Second XI travelled to the edge of Birmingham to play Barnt Green 4th XI on Saturday 18th June and were asked to bat first by their hosts. In form skipper Stuart Tucker (96) was the top scorer for the second week running with a score in the nineties and he guided the team to a total of 195 for 7.
Leading wicket taker for the home side was Sam Brownhill (11-0-51-3) and he was backed up by Jonty Kelley (12-1-46-2) and Paul Lowe (12-3-37-2). Barnt Green successfully chased the total with one over to spare and Sam Brownhill (40) capped off a good all round performance with the top score.
Lucas Abbott (12-0-43-2) and Jack Waldis (8-0-40-2) were the leading wicket takers, but No 7 Adam Mclean (30*) guided the hosts over the line.
