Madam, I have been asked by the two coaches, Louis Laumonier and Thierry Legendre, of the Conde sur Noireau football team, to thank everyone involved in arranging the football visit to Ross-on-Wye.
First they would like to say a special thank you to the parents and everyone who hosted their footballers, Sharon Clayton and Alison Field, the members of the Ross Twinning Committee and the English football coaches Rob Jones and Mark Ravenhill.
We received such a welcome at Ross Cricket Club and the boys all enjoyed the cricket before the excellent reception that was laid on for us. Our thanks must go to Therese Warwick and Wendy Skyrme at the Cricket Club.
For many of the boys this was their first trip abroad, and the people of Ross on Wye have made this a wonderful very memorable experience for them.
We hope all the English people involved enjoyed the experience as much as the French did.
Sue Kirby and Wendy Brann
