Two people died and two others were seriously injured when their car was involved in a collision with a tractor in a Herefordshire village on Tuesday.
The woman driver of the red Vauxhall Corsa and a teenage boy in the front passenger seat died in the collision at Lucton, near Leominster. Two younger boys in the back of the vehicle were seriously injured.
It happened at about 10.10am on the B4362 near Lucton School. The tractor driver is not thought to have been injured.
The boy who died was pronounced dead at the scene. An air ambulance took the driver to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where she died a short time later.
Both boys in the rear of the Corsa were airlifted to the Birmingham Children's Hospital. One is described as being in a critical condition and the other is said to be stable.
The road was closed and diversions set up while all three emergency services worked at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances which led up to the collision and have appealed for witnesses to contact Hereford police station on the 101 non-emergency number as a matter of urgency.
