UNDER 16 players from Ross-on-Wye Rugby Football Club took part as part of a combined team to raise vital funds for Papyrus UK, an organisation dedicated to preventing young suicide.

The exhilarating charity rugby match at Cinderford, which not only showcased the sporting spirit of the area, but it also drew attention to a pressing issue impacting young people today.

The match featured two U16 mixed teams: Monmouth Barbarians and Forest of Dean Combined with young players from local clubs, Monmouth RFC, Cinderford RFC, Newent RFC, Drybrook RFC, Ross on Wye RFC, and Gordon League RFC, participated, showcasing a commendable display of teamwork and resilience despite the harsh windy conditions.

The game concluded with Monmouth Barbarians triumphing over Forest of Dean with £1,594 being raised for Papyrus UK.
