Sharon Milne and Paul Fortey have done an amazing job in their first season of coaching junior football. Last June they answered an emergency call form Ross Juniors for parents to step up and run a team. They both took their FA Level 1 but they could hardly have predicted what success they would have with their Under 10s.

On Sunday the coaches and the boys received their medals for winning the Herefordshire Under 10s league at Edgar Street. The boys arrived two hours early so they could support Ross Juniors under 9s in their Cup Final, a gesture which was greatly appreciated.

Sharon and Paul have also had to juggle a large squad with over 20 boys training. Next season they will run an under 11 Juniors team and another parent, Gerald Charles has stepped forward so Ross will have an Under 11s Colts team too. This means every boy training can now play regular games.

Training is on Thursdays between 6-7pm at Ross Rowing Club pitches, please come along if you are interested in joining.

The boys have also been on an end of season tour and visits to watch Arsenal at the Emirates and Aston Villa at Villa Park.

The club is very grateful to all parents and sponsors for their help and support this year, in particular Lydney Car Centre and Creature Comforts.
