The new season of talks at Linton & District History Society will reveal secrets from 6000 years ago right up to the present day. On October 10th Tim Hoverd of Herefordshire Archaeology will tell the story of the “Halls of the Dead”, the amazing findings on Dorstone Hill which have completely altered our view of Neolithic man.
A week later, on October 17th, financial expert and Daily Telegraph columnist, Mike Warburton, reveals how the MPs expenses scandal was uncovered, and also delves into other “Skullduggery in High Places”.
The season begins on October 3rd when Richard Summers will talk about the revival of the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway and its recent extension to Broadway.
Back in Herefordshire, the October 24th talk will be by Dr Rosemary Firman, Cathedral Librarian, on the Hereford Chain Library.
