Police were called to an incident outside the Indian Summer restaurant in Ross on Sunday evening, June 6th, at about 7.30pm.

Six or seven people were given section 27 notices and told to leave the area, which they did.

Section 27 notices give a uniformed police officer the power to direct an individual or individuals to leave an area and not return within 48 hours, and are usually used where there is a risk of alcohol related crime or disorder.

A spokesman said the use of the Section 27 notices had been successful as there were no further reported incidents.
