People willing to make a leap of faith to help youngsters when a loved one is seriously ill are need to sign up for a skydive.

Sign-ups are now open for Ross-on-Wye-based charity, Hope Support Services’ biggest fundraiser of the year, Jump for Hope.

The 10,000ft skydive has raised around £30,000 since it began, helping the charity support young people right here in Ross when a loved one is seriously ill.

Eight brave participants signed up last year, benefiting from one of the lowest fundraising targets required for a charity jump.

“Jump for Hope is not only one of our biggest fundraisers, but it’s the event that draws the widest range of people to take part,” said Office Manager, Lorna Russell. “We’ve had 16-year-olds taking on their first adrenalin challenge to a 50-year-old who had recently beaten cancer.

“We make sure we set a realistic fundraising target to try and ensure anyone can participate – as long as they can sign the medical form of course!”

This year’s skydive will take place on Sunday, June 3rd. Places are extremely limited and have already started to fill up, so call 01989 566317 or visit www.hopesupport.org.uk/jump-for-hope for more information.
