It was another Royal day in Ross, on Tuesday, as HRH The Duke of Kent paid a visit to several places in the area.

The Duke arrived by helicopter to the recreation fields at Weston under Penyard before making his first stop – a visit to Weston under Penyard Primary School. The Duke's appearance was the culmination of the school's 150th anniversary celebrations. He spent time talking to teachers, governors and children before hearing the school orchestra play a specially composed piece of music and unveiling a plaque to commemorate his visit.

The Duke then went on to Haigh Engineering and Tudorville District &?Community Centre. Here he was able to talk to some of the many local people who have worked together to save this building and have turned it into a community centre to be proud of.
