The next phase of tree planting for Ross-on-Wye’s linear arboretum is well underway. To celebrate its success and discuss some of the 60 to 80 different trees the arboretum has, Councillor Rob Taylor will be guiding a walking talk on Sunday, November 24th.

The Ross-on-Wye Tree Warden will talk about the new trees in the Long Acre and Rope Walk Linear Arboretum.

Everybody is welcome, and the walkers will meet at the Bandstand, 14 Wye St, Ross-on-Wye HR9 7BX at 11am, for the arboretum walk.

There will also be a tree planting demo using rope tree ties (with no plastic).

The walk is anticipated to last between one and two hours.

Councillor Taylor told the Ross Gazette: “We would also like to say thank you to Wyevale Nurseries for the kind contribution of 16 trees. These will be a lovely addition to the arboretum.”
