Ross Hockey Club 1sts travelled away to play Stroud A with high hopes of victory. The match turned out to be full of goals for Ross with a hat-trick from Tom Walton contributing to the 8 - 1 victory.

Ross took first push back and put instant pressure on the Stroud defence. Ross were awarded a short corner early on, the ball was passed to Tom Walton, who put it into the net to begin the scoring.

The home team took the centre and the Ross midfield Tom Walton, Sam Warner, Matt Saunders and Kristian Franklin closed the play down well, taking possession and setting up attacker Phil Evans to open his own tally, scoring two goals in quick succession.

The opposition looked as if they were never going to give up. They managed to get a short corner, and using every effort to get a goal of their own they struck the ball, drawing Andy Ridgway to make a save.
