Paul Deneen, the Chair of the new Healthwatch Herefordshire Board has called for a focus on 'Dignity for Patients' at the launch event attended by guests from across the Herefordshire Health and Social Care System.

HWH was commissioned by the Herefordshire Council in April of this year, and is an independent organisation which will champion the views of patients, the public and consumers on health and social care issues in the County.Ross resident Mr Deneen emphasised the huge importance of the issue of patient dignity, which was particularly relevant following the report commissioned by the Prime Minister and published this week by the Rt Hon Ann Clwyd MP and Professor Tricia Hart entitled, 'A Review of the NHS Hospitals Complaints System: Putting Patients Back in the Picture'.
