First-time visitors to Hereford’s Waterworks Museum from across Herefordshire have described the museum as ‘a hidden gem’ and as an attraction that is ‘great for all ages’.

To help promote greater awareness of the Waterworks Museum the Trustees have agreed that for a short period children up to the age of 16 will be admitted free of charge.

This offer will apply on Sunday, June 24th (when there will be a demonstration and opportunity to try divining for water) and throughout July and August 2018.

This includes the Museum’s annual gala day on Sunday, July 8th and school holiday events for children on Tuesday, July 24th (pond dipping) and Tuesday, August 21st (teddy bears’ picnic).

The Waterworks Museum is open every Tuesday between 11am and 4pm. It will also be open on the second and last Sunday of July and August between 12pm and 4pm, with all engines and pumps working in steam from 1pm.
