The Met Office has issued a Yellow weather warning for much of the West Midlands, including Ross-on-Wye.

Thursday morning is set to be mild, wet and very windy, with an increased risk of gales everywhere. Winds will ease later in the day and rain will become light and patchy.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "As well as disruption to transport, Thursday’s strong winds could bring coastal impacts with large waves and rough seas.

"There is significant uncertainty over how severe this system will be, but a wet and windy day is expected regardless.”

The Met Office have said that people can expect some short term loss of power, and also injuries and danger caused by flying debris.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
