Wet and windy weather is moving in this evening, Tuesday, September 12th, across Herefordshire by Storm Aileen.

Rain is expected to start falling in the region from about 5pm and this will then be replaced by strong 40 to 50mph winds, with the odd gust over 60mph. These are then likely to continue into tomorrow morning.

Damage could be seen as tree branches are bought down onto roads; there is also the risk of some older trees falling, leaves upon the roads and very sodden ground.

West Mercia Police are advising that you take care if driving on country roads and motorways this evening.
