THE local Safer Neighbourhood policing team have been out and about conducting speed enforcement in the area.

Over the past week in response to community concerns of vehicles travelling at excess speed through local villages including Dorstone, Symonds Yat, Weston Under Penyard with the vast majority of motorists adhering to the 30mph speed limits.

One driver was stopped for excess speed with words of advice being provided once their documents were confirmed as being in order.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We'll continue to be a visible presence in our local villages as the year progresses as reducing speeding is one of our main policing priorities for the area so please continue to drive responsibly and respectfully.”
