Last week, the Year 11 Girls' Hockey team from the John Kyrle High School played in the West of England Prelims at Cheltenham College, qualifying by winning the county tournament. Opponents were Warminster School, Badminton School and Cheltenham College.

The team defended well, particularly at short corner. Students gained a lot of experience by playing these top teams but came away with unsuccessful results on the pitch.

The students enjoyed their taste of high level hockey, well done to them all and thanks to Ben Blethyn for coaching Olivia in Goal for just the last five weeks.
