Volunteers at Weston under Penyard who take part in regular litter picks around the village will be seen more clearly in future, thanks to the Parish Council.

Weston Parish Council recently organised a litter pick in the village, and 12 volunteers picked up litter on most of the roads in and around the village centre. Many large bags were also collected, including several bags and plastic tubs, that had been left in a wide passing place on the Coughton border.

Although it was felt this was well worth doing it was noticed that within just a few days more litter had been dropped, or thrown out of cars, on to the roads.

The Parish Council is now planning to arrange a regular litter pick and has purchased their own high visibility vests with Weston Parish Council printed on them.
