Madam, Ross traders are, I assume, keen to promote trade. Why, then, are a number of them ignoring a revolting mess which will do nothing to encourage visitors as they come from the New Street car park into town via Pig Alley? The alley itself is well named and is a vile introduction to the town, not improved by a number of slobs who seem to enjoy making sordid surroundings even more sordid. However, visitors will also pass a large staff car park shared by a number of shops, and this is in an appalling state. No doubt thanks in part to the activities of the aforementioned slobs, there is a thick coating of litter all around the area. However, it is not entirely down to casual littering - there are bags of rubbish right by the gate into the alley which have been rotting for many months.
To go back to my original point - do the traders have no pride in their town, and if they do not, don't they see any economic advantage in not repulsing potential customers? Is there any point to Ross in Bloom if this loathsome private car park is the first thing visitors pass by?
