Madam, Ross/Condé Twinning Association is an independent organisation that has been going 31 years and is the largest and most successful Twinning Association in Herefordshire.
We are an independent association with people from all walks of life, where we all pay our own way. Far from being a drain on Council resources we help the young people of Ross.
Does Mr Bramer know that over that last few years our association has given a donation to John Kyrle High School towards the annual trip to Normandy when we can afford to do so, also in conjunction with the twinning association we have helped to arrange many work experience places in both Ross and Condé for both 6th form and also college students
There have been many children's exchanges between the two towns which gives youngsters the opportunity to see the real France and get to know the local people, this also benefits their languages and school work,
Belonging to the Twinning Association is a rich rewarding experience, in my own case we have been twinned with the same family for over 20 years and my daughter and grandchildren stay with their daughter so with our family we are on to the third generation.
