Local resident, Anne Taylor, attended the Ross Town Council’s monthly meeting on Monday, June 11th, to ask Councillors who is in charge of maintaining floral displays in Ross-on-Wye.

Anne said: “I’ve noticed that there are various floral displays in the town, but my question is, who maintains them?

“Last year they were lovely but within a few weeks needed dead-heading etc. I’m fairly sure the watering is done buy the Council, but who is responsible for maintaining them?”

The Council’s Clerk, Sarah Robson responded: “Some areas the Town Council are responsible for, under contract, and some areas we are waiting for projects to come forward which have been delayed. We are in discussion with voluntary groups over certain areas.”

“If you email me with areas of particular concern, I can inform you who is responsible.”
